What is the charm of Shaolin Temple and why can it be called the "first place in the world"?
Songshan Shaolin, the birthplace of Chinese Buddhist Zen ancestors and Chinese Kung Fu, has been a Buddhist holy place in people's hearts for more than 1,500 years. The accumulation of history and the extension of incense, Shaolin today is not only known for its millennium Buddhist ancestral home, but also world-renowned for its Shaolin Kung Fu.
In order to ensure that the Chinese Kung Fu in the film is "authentic", the production team of the Kung Fu Panda film went to Shaolin Temple to learn from them.
We will send a guide and driver to meet you in the morning from your hotel or high-speed train station in Luoyang. After picking up the high-speed rail, take a bus to visit Shaolin Temple. The journey time is about 1.5 hours, and the visit time is about 3 hours, including the Shaolin Temple Permanent Residence, Tallinn, and a free 25-minute Kung Fu performance. The performance content is traditional martial arts routines and equipment, including the classic routines of Baduanjin, and Some hard qigong shows.
Next, we'll visit Shaolin Temple. Shaolin Temple is a world-famous Buddhist temple and the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism in Han Buddhism. It occupies an important position in the history of Chinese Buddhism and is known as the "first place in the world". It is famous for its Shaolin monks who devoted themselves to the creation and development of Shaolin Kungfu in the past.
We will also visit Tallinn. Tallinn is located at the foot of a hill about 300 meters west of Shaolin Temple. It covers an area of about 20,000 square meters, and includes 231 Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, Qing and modern masonry tomb towers. This is the graveyard where the Shaolin monks rested. There are more than 240 brick and stone tomb towers from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. Because there are many types of towers, different sizes, different heights, different thicknesses, various forms and scattered arrangements, it looks like Maolin, so it is called Talin.
Then we will go to Sanhuangzhai by cable car to explore the natural scenery of Songshan Mountain. Dengfeng Sanhuangzhai is a natural cottage hanging from the mountainside of Shaoming. The whole scenic area is steep and slippery, and the top is flat and wide. It has the characteristics of the hero of Mount Tai, the danger of Huashan, the wonder of Beiheng, and the show of Nanheng. It is famous for its peaks, roads, stone monsters, and Jingxiu. Spring and summer green forests are green and fragrant; all layers of forest are dyed in late autumn, and the mountains are red; Yandongshan dances silver snakes and original wax figures. It is a rare natural landscape in northern China. People commemorate the three emperors (Emperor, Earth) The emperor and the emperor were named after pioneering work in Songshan area. They visited temples and temples in Songshan. Only the gods worshipped here were separated from the Three Religions. After breakfast, take a bus to visit Longmen Grottoes. The journey takes about 35 minutes.
Longmen Grottoes is located 12 kilometers south of Luoyang City. It is one of the three major grottoes in China with the Datong Yungang Grottoes and the Dunhuang Qianfo Caves. Longmen is a beautiful place. There are two east and west mountains facing each other, and Yishui flows slowly northward. Looking from a distance, it looks like an original doorway, so it was called "Yi" in ancient times. Now "Yi," since ancient times, it has become the first landscape of Youlongmen. The Tang poet Bai Juyi once said: "The triumph of the mountains and rivers in the suburbs of Luoyang, the Longmen is the first one."
The Longmen Grottoes were excavated around Luoyang (AD 494), Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and have a history of more than 1,500 years. Later, after the Eastern and Western Wei, Northern Qi, and Northern Zhou Dynasties, the Sui, Tang, and Song dynasties continued to build for more than 400 years. It is densely packed on the cliffs of the east and west mountains of Yishui. It is more than 1,000 meters long from north to south, and there are more than 1,300 existing caves, 2,345 Buddha caves and shrines, more than 50 stupas, and more than 100,000 Buddha statues. The largest of them is 17.14 meters high, and the smallest is only 2 cm. Also, more than 3,600 inscriptions and inscriptions on past statues have shown the top artistic accomplishments of the working people in ancient China. Longmen Grottoes also retains a large amount of real, historical data on religion, art, calligraphy, music, costumes, medicine, architecture, and Chinese and foreign transportation. Therefore, it is another large-scale stone art museum.
