Three Gorges Hiking and Wu River Biking for A Week

Day 1: Chongqing to Fengjie

After arriving in Chongqing, you will take a private car to Fengjie (380 km, estimated 4.5 hours) and check in to the hotel.

Day 2:  Fengjie County Town-Thatched Cottage Interchange-Aokou-The Top of the Three Gorges 

After breakfast, the hotel departs to Kuizhou Ancient City, rides to the Observation Platform of Shimiao Village, Baidi Town, and hikes the Dangerous Stone Bird Road to the viewing platform of the top of the Three Gorges to visit the Guanlong Pavilion-Xiejialing-Hidden Longcao--Guaguaipo--Into the Sky Stone--Bailongzui--Climbing Platform--Panlong Cliff--Wang Fu Stone--Huangyan Liang--Kamen--Yugong Cave--Wild Boar Slope--Top of the Three Gorges , Appreciate the beautiful scenery of Qutang Gorge, after the end, ride down the mountain to the ancient city of Kuizhou and go to the hotel to rest.

Trekking (10 km, estimated 4-5 hours): "Dangerous Stone Bird Road" from the col to the top of the Three Gorges, the most difficult and winding, the highest challenge index.

Cycling (16 km, estimated 2 hours): Kuizhou Ancient City--Aokou

Cycling (20 km, estimated 2 hours +): the top of the Three Gorges-Kuizhou ancient city

Day 3: Fengjie County-Baidi City-Qutang Gorge-Poetic Plank Road-Aokou-Fengjie County

After breakfast, the hotel departs to Meixi River Bridge and rides to the parking lot of Baidicheng Scenic Area, and then goes to Guanqutang Gorge Kuimen on Baidicheng Mountain. After going down the mountain, take a cruise to enter the beautiful scenery of both sides of Qutang Gorge. Hike the poetic plank road to the Aukou viewing platform. 

Visit the Museum of Ancient Elephants--Qutangguan Site Museum--Suojiang Iron Pillar--Laoguan Temple Signal Tower--Chijia Tower--In Gorge Slope--Danqing Cliff--Nidong Cave--Peach Blossom Cave--Aokou (Stone Temple) Village), enjoy the beauty of Qutang Gorge. After the end, ride down the mountain to the ancient city of Kuizhou, and then drive to the hotel to rest.

Cycling (8.5 km, estimated 1 hour): Meixi River Bridge-Baidicheng Parking Lot

Trekking (2 km, 1.5 hours expected): "Poetic Plank Road" from the ancient elephant museum to the Aukou section

Cycling (16 km, estimated 2 hours): Aokou-Kuizhou Ancient City

Day 4: Fengjie/Fuling--Wulong--Fairy Town 

In the morning, take a bus from Fengjie Hotel to Fuling South Interchange Expressway (320 kilometers, estimated 4 hours), ride along Wujiang G319 to Wulong City, and then drive to Fairy Mountain Hotel.

Cycling (64 km, estimated 6 hours): Get off the expressway at Fuling South Interchange-319 National Highway-go up the Wujiang River-Baitao Town-Wujiang Chibi View Point-Baima Town-

Yangjiao Town-Wulong Wujiang Second Bridge.

Day 5: Wulong (Three Natural Bridges + Furong Cave)

In the morning, visit the Tiansheng Third Bridge (including sightseeing car + elevator). In the afternoon, visit Furong Cave (round-trip ropeway). Return to the hotel by car.

Cycling (13 km, 1.5 hours expected): Furong Cave parking lot-Cotton Dam

Natural Three Bridges is the rare geological wonders ecotype tourism area, the typical Karst landform. The three bridges are all-natural bridges lying from north to south, crossing over the Yangshuihe Gorge and connecting the mountains at both sides. There are naturally formed pits under the bridges, so the Three Natural Bridges are also called Tiankeng Three Bridges. It is also Asia's largest natural bridge group. As the name suggests, there are three substantial natural stone bridges over two karst dolines. In addition, karst caves, grotesque peaks, and beautiful waterfalls are found everywhere. Walk along the narrow path to the bottom of the lines. You will experience the grandness and magic of nature. 

Furong Cave is an underground artistic palace and a cavern scientific museum. The primary limestone is unexpectedly as long as 2,700 meters. It is the only nominated site for World Natural Heritage in China so far. 

Day 6: Final Day

Leave from Wulong Hotel for Chongqing Airport or train station.
