Travel to Xian both ways with flights.
Since Shanghai is further away from Xi'an than Beijing, flying is the only way to go if you only have a day to spare. If you are arriving in Shanghai early in the morning on a cruise ship, you may not be able to make it to Xi'an the same day as it will take you at least an hour to get out of port.
You leave Shanghai for Xi'an by plane around 6:30. Our driver will pick you up at the hotel at 5:00 am and take you to the Hongqiao airport. The flight takes 2.5 hours and you arrive in Xi'an.
Our English-speaking guide and driver will meet you inside the airport. We will proceed directly to the famous Terracotta Warriors. Visiting the Terracotta Warriors is the main purpose of your visit to Xian. After the tour, you will be served lunch at the Terracotta Warriors Museum Restaurant.
After that, we quickly head back to the city to visit the ancient city walls of Xi'an. After that, we will quickly make our way to the airport. Your return flight is between 8-10pm.
Back at the airport in Shanghai, our driver will take you back to your hotel.

The Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses
Terracotta Warriors and Horses mausoleum mound of the first emperor of Qin, 76 meters high, the layout of the mausoleum imitates the Qin capital of Xianyang, divided into two cities, the inner city perimeter of 2.5 km, the outer city perimeter 6.3 km. The mausoleum mound is located in the southwest of the inner city, facing east and west, where the coffins and burial relics are placed, and is the core of the Qin Shihuang Mausoleum complex, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Terracotta figurines were used as funerary objects, hence the name. The terracotta figurines were modeled after the life-size Qin soldier and fired by artisans, all by hand without the use of molds, which is why we are now using the terracotta figurines as the burial object. The terracotta figurines seen have different looks and different body types.
Xian Ancient City Wall
The Xi'an City Wall, also known as the Xi'an Ming City Wall, is the most complete ancient city wall in China, and is the second longest in the country. Along with Pingyao City Wall, Jingzhou City Wall and Xingcheng City Wall, it is one of the four best surviving ancient city walls in China. The City Wall is surrounded by a moat. The famous Xi'an Bell and Drum Tower is located in the center of the wall. . The walls include a series of military facilities such as moat (6), drawbridge (5), moon castle (4), gate tower (3), weng castle (2), arrow tower, main tower (1), corner tower, enemy tower, daughter wall, battlements and so on.V isitors can choose to take a leisurely stroll or ride a bicycle around the city gates
