Hailuogou is the only glacial forest hot spring park in China, famous for its huge ice caves, precipitous ice bridges and massive red rock beaches. It's like a mythical crystal palace. As the Conch Ditch Glacier is located in a low altitude region, it is easy to climb the glacier even if you are not a good climber, to experience this wonderful scenery. The unique landscape of glaciers, glacial lakes, subglacial rivers, ice caves, crevasses, and ice stairs is an eye-opening experience.

While most glaciers in the world are located at higher elevations, glaciers can be seen descending from steep canyons at lower elevations in Hailuogou. This is especially true of the world's largest and most unique glacier, the Great Icefall, which is more than 1,000 meters high and 1,100 meters wide, 10% larger than the famous Huangguoshu Falls. It is a magnificent sight to behold.

The forest in Hailuogou covers an area of 70 square kilometers, and as you slowly walk along the circular mountain road, you will be attracted by the ever-changing flora and fauna beside you, and amidst the jungle, you will often see cute animals such as macaques, panda, wildebeest and red-bellied tragopan.
